ORIGO Education Hosts Free Webinar on edWeb.net About Visual and Concrete Math Models for Pre-K—6 Math

Making the Most of Math Models streams live on Wednesday, May 10 ​ ​ from 3-4 p.m. EDT

ST. CHARLES, Mo. ORIGO Education is offering a live stream education seminar, Making the Most of Math Models, May 10 at 3:00 p.m. EDT on edWeb.net. The edWebinar will help teachers use meaningful visual and concrete math models to support coherent content progressions in mathematics across grade levels. ORIGO president and co-founder, James Burnett, will introduce four visual models often used in grades Pre-K–6 and lead a discussion about the benefits of using the array/area model for developing multiplication facts. This free edWebinar is the second hosted by ORIGO Education in the professional learning community, Mathematics for Young Learners, launched on edWeb in March 2017. The first webinar, Early Number Concepts, aired April 26, 2017 and is recorded for viewing. edWeb.net is a popular web community for professional development and networking among Pre-K–12 and post-secondary educators.
