Early Number Concepts Webinar on April 26, Free ORIGO 1 Math Minute Videos

ORIGO Education is sponsoring a professional learning community (PLC) about mathematics, Mathematics for Young Learners, on edWeb.net, which is a popular web community for professional development and networking among PreK-12 and post-secondary educators. Mathematics for Young Learners gives PreK-6 teachers a platform, advice, and support to learn methods, ideas, and strategies supporting mathematics development in young learners. edWeb communities give teachers a place to learn, grow skills, and earn CE certificates for completed professional development. In addition to webinars, the Mathematics for Young Learning community will host free videos from ORIGO Education, ORIGO 1, which are animated one-minute videos explaining math concepts. Sample: Interpreting Fractions as part of a whole

The One Minute Mathematics series includes over 20 animated videos explaining how to teach math concepts. More than two dozen additional videos will be released in the coming school year.

Note: Stepping Stones 2.0 – the newest comprehensive math program for grades PreK-6 from ORIGO Education – will officially launch during the NCTM conference in April. Talk with us to see a preview of this curriculum.
